Northumberland Five
Here are five images from five days of roaming around Northumberland. This wasn't a photography specific trip, but if I'm going to Northumberland then the camera is always coming along, and so these are more opportunistic captures than any real planning or thought behind them. Basically, I just shot what I see, and had to settle for whatever light or weather conditions we had at the time.
A couple of Landscape shots

This is from Hartside Pass, about 2000ft above sea level and the drive up (and down) has some really nice views. I struggled to find a composition here, as whilst the views are impressive, I'm not sure I could really make an interesting image. I quite liked this one though. If you are ever in the area, then this is a worthwhile drive.

This is a bridge we've passed over a few times now (I think on the way to and from High Force) and I've tried to find a good composition on several stops here. This is probably the best I've managed so far.
And some wildlife shots

Male Chaffinch, at Kielder Reservoir.

Female Chaffinch, at Kielder Reservoir.

Pheasant. Who obligingly jumped on to the stone wall and posed.
Amusingly, the Holiday Inn car park has more Oyster Catchers than anywhere else we went in those five days. So, if you're in the area, and want to find Oyster Catchers, consider the Holiday Inn car park :) As you might imagine, I didn't get a shot I was happy with here and have nothing I'm happy to upload. But still, I've not actually seen Oyster Catchers since starting the whole wildlife thing, so I'm happy to have at least spotted them.
